Santa Rosa, California (July 15, 2010) - Sonoma County’s 2010 presentation at the California State Fair won a Gold Medal and a Best Agricultural Display Award. California counties create representative displays to be showcased at the Annual State Fair held in Sacramento each year. Sonoma County’s theme this year was “Healthy Farms, Healthy Foods.” The County’s display reflected the incredible diversity of the local economy and agricultural bounty for which the County is world renowned.

County Administrator Veronica Ferguson commented, Sonoma County has world class agriculture and we are very proud to highlight it at every opportunity. Our State Fair display reflects our pride in both the incredible locally grown products and the role they play in preserving and enhancing our quality of life. Today’s awards are feathers in the cap of Sonoma County.
